CRC People
CRC People have a solid mix of HR & Travel Industry background. They are involved in a number of Tourism activities and committees. The CRC team is a good example of skill mix and balance and while each has their own areas of responsibility, any one of us can help you when you call.
Cliodhna Rae (Managing Director), the founder and Managing Director established CRC in 1981. With a background of 25 years in the Travel Industry combined with qualifications in Psychology, Business Admin and HR, she recognized the need for a Tourism & Hospitality focused Training & Recruitment company. Cliodhna is active in a number of industry associations, a State Award Judge, is a member of the Industry Training Board for the past 10 years, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Travel & Tourism and former President of SKAL International Melbourne.
Richard Kellaway (General Manager) joined the team at CRC Travel Locum with a strong background in travel, sales and general recruitment. With qualifications in general business and specifically in recruitment, he has managed the Permanent Recruitment Division at CRC since 1996. During this time he has recruited literally hundreds of travel consultants for the retail, corporate and airline industry. In line with the CRC philosophy, Richard has been a Judge at the AFTA State Travel Industry Awards and is a regular presenter at career seminars. Richards industry involvement includes active member of SKAL International, Executive Director of HSMA and previous Vice President of Travel League Victoria.
Sally Hitchcock (Manager) Running our Caretaker Division is always interesting, so when Sandra Delaney, the Divisional Manager "retired" to have child number 2, we searched far and wide for a suitable replacement. As often happens, the solution was right under our noses! Sally had been well known to us through her Secretariat responsibilities with H.S.M.A and with M.E.A, so her knowledge of the Hotel/Motel sector was already developed! Her knowledge of the Self Storage industry was basic, but she has taken to the role like the proverbial duck-to-water. Her administrative and customer-care skills are second to none, and so far has proved completely unflappable!! We will keep testing her though - don't worry about that!
Helen Bell (Administration Manager) has a solid background in the Travel Industry having worked for International airlines for 20 years. Helen joined CRC Travel Locum 13 years ago having worked in Australia and United States.
Eva Alwora (Accounts Manager) Picture in your mind, your traditional, conservative, accountant-slash-bookkeeper. Now picture the complete opposite image - and you go some way to imagining our wonderful Eva! Born and educated in Kenya, Eva is about to finish her Bachelor of Commerce Degree and working three jobs in her spare time. She is larger than life, bombastic and outrageous, and completely invaluable to our operations. Sometimes we wonder how we operated without her!
Sandra Delaney (Recruitment Manager) Sandra is the one in the office that brings everyone together, and with her caring intuitive style, all the candidates and clients love working with her. Sandra joined us around 4 years ago before scooting off to have child number two. Luckily, she agreed to come back very quickly, and she now heads up our Travel Locum department.
Susan Paulsen (Caretakers New Zealand) Stationed over in Windy Wellington, lives Sue Paulsen, responsible for our New Zealand Caretaker operations, managing all our motel minders, and relief managers. Quick thinking, conscientious and a barrel of fun is our Sue, and she has developed a great understanding of the Accommodation and Self Storage markets over there. We are lucky to have her on board (but don't tell her I told you!)
Kristy Penfold (Administration Co-ordinator ) Every office needs a Kristy. With her strong background in corporate and leisure travel operations and relationship management she can easily juggle all the administrative tasks associated with running our little business. She looks after our Fares and Ticketing Courses, and assists Sally and Sue in the Caretakers Division. And with her great travel knowledge, she can pitch in and help Sandra too! Its like getting three people for the price of one!
